Demonstrative Evidence
One
problem attorney’s face is how the accident reconstruction expert arrives
at their conclusions. Many times this requires a very technical explanation
that may confuse jurors. The opposing attorney may also attempt to create
confusion with these conclusions with the hope a juror may discard or
minimize the expert’s opinion.
To
complicate this problem, each juror will interpret this verbal testimony
differently depending on factors such as: educational background, life
experience, attention span, and their preferred method of learning.
One
solution to this problem is using demonstrative evidence. Demonstrative
evidence can strengthen a case and substantially increase the chances for a
successful prosecution. Demonstrative evidence gives the jury a more
accurate representation of objects which cannot otherwise be effectively
described.
Why
is Demonstrative Evidence so effective?
